My name is Liza Morris and that's Liza with a Z, not Lisa lol. I am married and I'm a stay at home mom to three kids. I rarely have time anymore but I love to play video games on the PS4 and I love music! My favorite musician of all time is George Lynch. I have been a fan for 30 years. I have a fan page that I use to run on Facebook called George Lynchforever/Liza Morris since June 27, 2011! I had been told for a long time I should start my own fan page on Facebook so I did! I always wanted to do a website as well but just never had the no how or time, it was all I could do to do my Facebook page. But then my wonderful husband knowing how much I love George Lynch made me my own website for my anniversary present this year! (2015) I couldn't believe it! I was so excited! He said I will build it and you just put on it what you want! I merely wanted my Face Book fan page to be in website form! So that's what I have done, but even more and better than FB!
So as I said I have been a fan of George for 30 years now, since I was 10 years old! I first saw George on MTV, the Dokken video for "In My Dreams", I was hooked immediately! The music was awesome, the guys were cute, but one person stood out to me, the guitarist. He could play that guitar like no one I had heard before, his style and sound was unique. And for me it didn't hurt he was pretty handsome. My best friend and I became Dokken addicts! I followed George relentlessly until he left Dokken. I knew then he had Lynch Mob, but at the time my life was wrapped up in things going on in my life and I lost passion for a lot of my music. So fast forward to the late 90's, I saw George on VH1's "Where Are They Now" I was in shock he cut all of that gorgeous hair off, it was short and black, and he was now a bodybuilder!! WHAT IN THE WORLD? lol so that was really wild....but then fast forward to 2010 when George and Don were on That Metal Show, I was in awe to see both of them! My favorite group of all time! So of course with the reunion talk I was so excited! I started listening to all of my Dokken cd's again and reigniting that old flame I had for Dokken and George! So after all of that and then the disappointment of no Dokken reunion, George began touring again and I saw he was coming to Buford, GA. I thought that could not be right! But it was and from that moment on I was in overdrive and have not stopped since! After 26 years of never seeing Dokken in concert or even George, I FINALLY got to see him and even meet him on February 8, 2011! It was one of the greatest nights of my life! I was in such awe and shock! I was stoked just to see him play live but to get him to sign three of my cd's and a pic with him, how cool was that! Some said at first he wasn't doing pictures, so I was blessed I got one! I'm sure telling him "I've waited 26 years to meet you, can I please have a pic with you?" maybe that made him sympathize with me lol! I just could not believe I was meeting my idol much less getting a pic with him :) I have been blessed to meet him two more times as well. He is the best, so down to earth, humble, just a wonderful person. I have been working on getting my hands on EVERYTHING possible that George has out, which is a VERY LONG list. But I will get there eventually!! But I tell you I have been blessed to meet some AWESOME friends through George's pages on Facebook, and I mean real friends, so that has been another great blessing as well :) I do not play guitar, but I sure wish I could! Anyone that knows me know my passion and love for George Lynch. I have always loved hearing the guitar, the first I remember is Jimmy Page with Led Zepplin and of course Jimi Hendrix!
I have to give a HUGE THANKS to George Lynch. You have been so kind to me every time I have met you. And even on the phone calls for the ultimate fan bundle for your Legacy & ShadowTrain cd. Also when I showed you my tattoo to have you really take a look at it and show all the guys in the band, it means everything to a big fan like myself. The most recent thing is George commenting on my George Lynch Facebook Fan Page, that is another day that is forever treasured to have him acknowledge me and my hard work, just still blows me away! I have always said you deserve to still be playing in arenas and stadiums, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't thankful for the opportunities I have had in the smaller venues because I know I wouldn't have gotten to meet you otherwise! So I am thankful for that! THANK YOU for being who you are and for continuing to put out fantastic music for us fans to enjoy. You have always stood up for what you believe in and never afraid to take chances with your music! I love that! You are truly the best George Lynch "Mr Scary"!
A very special thanks to my awesome friend Holly J. Wood for joining this venture with me, her passion is the same as mine and we will do our best to make this a wonderful website. I hope everyone will enjoy this website as much as I love doing anything for the love and Legacy of Lynch. I hope George would be proud of it as he is of my Facebook Page :)
As of 5-31-16 I still have the FB profile page Liza Morris/George Lynchforever, but I am not posting much there any more as I post 100% to the new Legacy of Lynch group page so go join! :)
A BIG HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE IN ADVANCE WHO COMES TO BE A PART OF THIS WEBSITE! It's all for THE LEGACY OF LYNCH! \m/
The following two posts were made by George Lynch on my FB FanPage last year 4-7-15 :)
This was posted by George Lynch on 6-22-16 :)
I am blessed! I guess it's like they say you be a good person and karma always comes back when you least expect it! George Lynch is my number one musician/band and this means everything to me. Someone I've followed for 30 years and if it were not for his music and GOD I truly do not know where I would be today. So now he really knows how hard I have worked on my website at Legacy of Lynch & FB Group page and I love doing it. On 6-27 it will be five years ago I started this journey of promoting and spreading the word of Lynch through my original fan page George Lynchforever! Now it's bigger and better at Legacy of Lynch and I feel will only get better if that's even possible!
My appreciation, support, and love to you always Mr Scary, a true fan I am and he knows that :)
LYNCH RULES! \m/
My name is Holly J Wood. Yes, my parents knew what they were doing...Heh heh. I have been doing artwork since I was old enough to hold a crayon. Of late, I have been doing pencil drawings and digital art of George Lynch when I can. I first began playing guitar and taking lessons, back in 1984 when I bought my first guitar, a 1982 Ibanez Musician. I still own and play "Baby" all the time to this day. One of my earliest influences was George Lynch. When I started my own band Valhalla, one of the first songs we learned was Breaking The Chains. Looking back, I know I was not playing it correctly, but we had fun. I have thought many times about relearning that song the right way, I really should do it. In 1990, because of band issues, we broke up, and in my anger, I put my guitar down for almost 20 years, not to pick it up again until 2009. I still regret that to this very day. When I finally took "Baby" out of his case again I found myself drawn back to George. All I wanted to do was learn everything George Lynch. I even taught myself to hold the pick like he does, using the side instead of the tip. I tell myself it was so that I could sound as much like him as possible, but it was probably more so that I could be more like him. I recently tried to hold it 'normally' and I could not play at all. The only thing I cannot duplicate yet is the splayed fingers on his right hand when he plays. I do not think I will ever get that. Anyway, since I have started playing again, I have taught myself as best I could his techniques. I struggle to gain the proper speed. I know I will never give up trying. A couple years ago I was able to buy an LTD Kamikaze...I adore my "Georgie".
I had the privilege of first meeting George and the other members of Dokken back in 1988 at the hotel they stayed in after the Alpine Valley, Monsters of Rock concert. My memory is pretty bad, but I do remember that I asked him to bless me, yes bless me, and I recall him saying to me, "you are blessed!" I am sure he thought I was crazy, but he obliged me and was so kind to a crazy fan, and I never forgot that. I did not to see or meet him again until 2010. It was like being 20 years old again, and I got to see him another four times between 2010 and 2012. He has signed my "Baby" twice, my guitar strap, and several other things. I treasure them all. He even did a signature for me that I told him was going the made into a tattoo on my arm. He has since seen my tattoo, touched it (I nearly fainted) and said he liked it. I’ve got to say, that was awesome.
Everyone who knows me, knows about my Georgie thing, and knows that you can say whatever you want about me, but Georgie is off limits! I know it may sound weird, but in his own quiet way, George gave me back a passion I had been missing for 20 years, and I can never thank him enough for that. Thank you George for being you, and always doing what you do best, and making this old rocker chick feel alive again!
